Tips to Zen Out

Summer is a busy time of the year. You are running from barbeque to barbeque, planning family weekend trips at the beach, dedicating your time to your family and friends, keeping up with work, and keeping up with the overall fast pace of the season. It’s important to press pause on our crazy lives, even if it’s for a moment, to bring Zen and tranquility to our mind. Here are some tips to spread to your clients and employees on mindfulness and a moment of pushing pause.

Rest and Balance

From the time you roll out of bed in the morning your mind and body are in constant motion.  You navigate work and family obligations and take care of those around you.  You check off completed tasks on your long to do list. When the end of the day arrives, you are completely spent and have no time or energy left to take care of you.  It is like trying to drive a car without any gas.  Taking time for you to recharge can take as little as 10 minutes a day.  Try some of these helpful tips to find rest and balance:

  • Schedule a minimum of 10 minutes a day to set aside the distraction and gift yourself with silence.
  • Find a quiet place in your home or workplace to relax to yourself in times you are stressed or need a moment to reset.
  • Focus on your breathing and let your muscles relax from head to toe.
  • Focus on something calming rather it’s a cloud, a plant, beaches, or painting and notice how your body relaxes.
  • Unplug from social media from time to time to escape the obsession of likes and loves.
  • Connect with those you care about from time to time instead of liking or commenting a post.
  • Slow down and enjoy the beauty in simplicity such as taking in a sunset, or seeing clouds move across the sky.
  • Let go of the past and do the best you can to live in the present.

Keeping your brain active combats anxiety and promotes mindfulness as it distracts of from our crazy lives. Products like Stacking Zen Stones helps us be creative, focus, and stress free.
